The Westcliff Security Group

WSG is a public space security initiative focused on discouraging crime in upper Westcliff. As one of Johannesburg’s oldest suburbs, Westcliff has a rich heritage that residents are committed to protecting. This initiative, in conjunction with our service provider CAP NPC, is focused on the detection and deterrence of potential criminal activity. We want Westcliff to be a safe haven for residents and visitors, welcoming runners, walkers, cyclists and their dogs to enjoy this historic and tranquil suburb.

Organisation

The WSG is run by a group of residents on a voluntary basis. A new Committee was established in November 2023 and has been settling in with assistance from long serving WSG Chairman Giles Heeger. Offers of support in the areas of fund raising, community engagement and database management from community members would be welcome.
